YOUTH PROGRAMS
If you’re between the ages of 13 and 18 or have a teenager who is, you’ll want to check out MyCom, an innovative Cuyahoga County program offering youth engagement, leadership, employment opportunities and Starting Point out-of-school-time activities. MyCom currently serves Parma, Shaker Heights,East Cleveland and the following Cleveland neighborhoods: Central, Cudell, Mt. Pleasant, St.Clair/Superior, Slavic Village and West Park.
ARTS ACTIVITIES
Find exciting, engaging activities in dance, drama, music, visual arts, history, literature, and science for children and youth of all ages at www.smartculturesource.org--an innovative, one-stop searchable website listing Cuyahoga County after-school, weekend and summer arts and culture programs.
MANAGING TRANSITIONS
Change can be challenging for youth, whatever their ages. Young children must make the transition from an early childhood program to kindergarten; older children from elementary to junior high; junior high to high school and then to college. Starting Point has programs to help ease each of these transitions.
