Early Level

The EARLY level is geared to pre-K, kindergarten and early first grade. Books include alphabet books, pattern books, and simple narratives. Several books are award- winning literature.

Developing Level

The DEVELOPING level is geared toward the end of grade one to early three. Titles include narrative and expository material. Three align with specific themes: Fruit Is a Suitcase for Seeds-health and wellness, Alexander Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday-financial literacy and Old Henry-individual freedom vs. community responsibility

Fluent Level

The FLUENT level is geared toward about grade three to early five, and includes more sophisticated picture books and extensive responding to text experiences. Uncle Jed’s Barbershop can be a financial awareness (e.g. needs and wants) unit. Oil Spill is nonfiction and addresses a serious current environmental concern.
